If we go to configure entity execution parameters
For contactsV2 entity,
Import threshold record count =100
Import task count = 100
What does those two values mean?

So does this only affect importing via DMF?
So if I do a while loop to insert some records via contactsV2...do these settings apply?
I guess this setup is totally related to import of data entities. I am not sure it will be applicable when insert records via code.

These settings are only effective for data import via the Data Management import projects and if you run it in the background using the batch framework.
Technically, it is first using SSIS to get the source file loaded in the staging table. Then it will perform a count of the records and will then decide how many batch threads should be used, based on the entity execution parameter settings.
