As per Microsoft, USD 4.1 version is compatible with CRM 2016 On-premise (ver 8.2.x).
But when we run Upgrade through PackageDeployer.exe, it through errors as below
Error 1. The import file is invalid. XSD validation failed with the following error: 'The 'IsRetrieveAuditEnabled' attribute is not declared
Error 2. The import file is invalid. XSD validation failed with the following error: 'The 'IsRetrieveMultipleAuditEnabled' attribute is not declared
Error 3. The import file is invalid. XSD validation failed with the following error: 'The 'ExternalValue' attribute is not declared
Questions:
1. Does anyone facing this issue?
2. Does Microsoft will fix it to make USD 4.1 upgrade compatible with CRM 2016 On-premise (ver 8.2.x)?
3. Is the following resolution supported and does not have any other impact?
Resolution:
1. Extract ..\USD 4.1 PackageDeployer\UpdatePackage\DynamicsUnifiedServiceDesk_1_0_managed.zip file.
2. Open Customization.xml file and delete following elements
3. Create DynamicsUnifiedServiceDesk_1_0_managed.zip file after above changes and copy file to "..\USD 4.1 PackageDeployer\UpdatePackage\" path.
4. Run PackageDeployer.exe and choose upgrade to USD 4.1.
5. Result: Upgrade completed successfully.
