eConnect payroll transactions not deducting from PTO

We are using eConnect to import time sheet data into Transaction Entry.  We have pay codes set up for
PTO that deduct time taken from the accruals.  This worked for a couple of years with no issue.  The client implemented HR this year and now the imported transactions do NOT reduce the accrued PTO.  If we manually add the PTO transactions in transaction entry, it works properly.  WE have researched eConnect but do not see any reference that we need to change our eConnect import.  Does anyone have suggestion to help solve this puzzle?

Thanks

Andrew

What Schema or Nodes did you use with eConnect to import these transactions?

To expand on this info from Tom, the Calculate button in the Alternate window for Payroll Transaction Entry window will update Pay Policy Pay Rates, if you are using Pay Policies.  I do not believe that will do anything with transactions that need to hit HR Attendance.  (I am making the assumption that you are using HR Attendance to accrue your PTO, Andrew.)

    Hi,

There is a Reconcile Utility to run after the import each time, that will put those transactions also into the HR Attendance Transaction window, where they need to be in order to reduce your HR Attendance balances.  >HR & Payroll >Utilities >Human Resources >Reconcile.  Mark the checkbox to Reconcile Attenance Transactions.  Do this each time after you import payroll transactions.  Any transactions that you manually key into the Payroll Transaction Entry window will automatically populate both places, but an import will not hit the HR tables.

    Andrew,

There is HR code that runs when a transaction is created in the payroll transaction entry window that does not run when importing from eConnect. As a workaround, the HRM Solution Series dictionary (installed with the "Human Resources and Payroll Suite" from the GP install media) contains an alternate form for the payroll transaction entry window which adds a "Calculate" button to the window. I would suggest you switch to the alternate window, select the batch and "Calculate" after importing transactions. This should cause HR to be "aware" of these transactions and reduce your PTO accordingly.

    Hope this helps!
