I was wondering if it's possible to pull data from Accounting Source Explorer for multiple entities at the same time? At month end we currently log into each entity to access their Accounting Source Explorer and export the data for the month. Is there a way to export this data from multiple entities at the same time?
Alternatively does anyone know the source tables/where I can find the information on the tables involved and I can try to create a query to extract the data. (apologies new to F&O)
As you have discovered Accounting Source Explorer works within the context of the LE you are currently logged in....
To operate queries across LE's the best tools are financial reporter or using embedded PowerBI (supported via System Admin > Entity Store). You have to be careful with operating queries across LE's as you may find issues Accounting Currency (due to multiple currencies).
There is some configuration to support within System Admin > Setup > System Parameters > General: Define System Currency and System Exchange Rate Type, these will provide a common currency and rate of exchange for analysis purposes.
