Presence in CRM 2013 on-premise

Hi!

I've tried setting up IM presence in CRM 2013 by updating the settings in SETTINGS > ADMINISTRATION > SYSTEM SETTINGS and updating the IM presence option to "Yes". Is there a reason why CRM2013 is still not displaying the presence icon in my lists/sub grids? Am I missing a setting?

I'm running this on Internet Explorer and have a lync installed on my PC.

I've also tried to Enable Presence in the views. But still, it doesn't show up. :(

Thanks in advance!

Try to clear the  IE temporary files as well if it's on-premise IIS reset.

I tried to clear my IE temp files and IIS reset but turns out i needed to update my IE settings and add my crm into the trusted sites. Do you know how to apply this to custom entities though?

On what basis should it find the presence of the people represented by these records?

Presumably you have an email field which it can use to check if a physician is online? And is the entity "email enabled"?

Have you added the crm instance to trusted sites in your internet browser.

In order for presence to display in the setup I have worked with I needed to add a couple things to trusted sites in the IE browser for the presence indicator to display, assuming you have all the CRM settings and Office 365 settings correct.

For my setup I added these items to my trusted sites and it worked.

    https://*.dynamics.com

    https://*.lync.com

    https://*sharepoint.com

    https://login.microsoftonline.com

    https://*.tribridgecloud.com

I also had a couple other CRM instance I had to enable it for and needed to add these values

    https://*.tribridge.com

    https://*.concertocloud.com

I would recommend adding the top 4 and then looking at your CRM web address in your browser, and add that to your trusted sites, ie if it ends in dynamics.com you definitely would need the https://*.dynamics.com

If you have the CRM instance in Tribridge's Concerto Cloud, then you definitely would need the https://*.concertocloud.com
