PowerApps Solution display truncates objects if solution contains more than 5000 items

Posted on by 60

Hi,

We've identified an issue with the display of Power Apps solutions when we create a Dynamics / Power Apps solution that contains more then 5,000 objects.  When this occurs it appears that the Power Apps solution display reads the first 5,000 and only displays items included in that result set, i.e. rather than showing 115 choices the Power Apps display only shows 16, or a table is shown containing only a subset of fields.

If we look at the same solution in the Dynamics classic view then all items are correctly displayed.

Here's an example of our solution displayed in Power Apps.

Here is the same solution in the classic view.

We've performed some tests and can confirm that once we go above the 5,000 item then the totals in the Power Apps solution display start to decrease and items disappear, although they are still visible in the classic view.

On exporting the solution from both the Power Apps and Classic UIs the solutions are identical.

Has anyone experienced this issue, and does anyone have a workaround? We'd like to use the Power Apps view, however, we're not confident on whether it is showing everything we need to see.

Regards,

Simon Tooley

    Hi Simon Tooley,

It could be a bug. It's recommend to raise a ticket to contact Microsoft.
