I have the Mapping added between Lead and Account when a Lead is Qualified. I have a field on the Lookup that is related to an entity called Category. On Account, I have a lookup that is related to Category as well. Since it is a lookup, there are no values that need to match as 'Category' entity is same for both.
How do I get the Mapping to appear between Account and Lead for a LOOKUP
Hi Bipin,
Yes, I tried it with and without key. Without the key I had the same experience as described in the question above and as mentioned I am also using account_originating_lead relationship for mapping.
I knew that I had other relationships mapped in the past which worked and when comparing the mapping between these relationships the only difference I found has been the key. I then added the key to the new created entity as well and afterwards it was working.
So I am not 100% sure if the key is always needed but for me it worked as expected in several relationship mappings. But as it is working for you I will definitely have another look at this interesting behavior.
Best regards,
Joergen
Hi Joergen,
I don't quiet understand the use of creating key in custom entity. Do we really need this step?
I have tried in my instance without creating key and it works as expected. Have you tried without key and just map the lookup field?
Hi CRMUser789,
Could you please share the screenshot of what relationship you are using, you will have to use 'account_originating_lead '.

Hi CRMUser789,
the first steps are already done, when you have mapped the lookup fields in the Classic Editor - Lead entity - 1:N Relationship - account_originating_lead - mapping:
Click on New and add the lookup field for Lead and Account entity:
The important step that the mapping can be resolved is adding a key to your custom entity Category (In my example test entity - you can either add the key in classic editor or in make.powerapps.com - see screenshots below). In the example I have select name as field for the key. As a key requires a unique value in the field you can either select another field or a combination of multiple fields as key.
Adding Key in Classic Editor
Adding Key in Maker Portal
Once the key is added you can select a value in your lookup on the lead entity and after qualifying the lead, the same record is selected in your lookup on account entity
Best regards,
Joergen
