item adjustment in directed location

Here is the situation. User has several directed locations in BC but none of them has set up adjustment bins. They have made positive and negative adjustment at those locations. It is apparent that the incorrect location setup will cause issues. Per standard directed location setup, item adjustments are posted to the adjustment bins, and user run the calculate item adjustment to true up inventory.

In this scenario, is it possible to fix their issue by creating adjustment bin for those locations and run the job to true up inventory? Or this required deeper analysis and fix? Thanks

normally, BC won't allow item adjustment at directed location if no adjustment bins are set up. But user has been using Tasklet WMS scanner application, I doubt it might have changed BC logic.

So in my standard BC, it shows error when I tried to create item adjustment line for an item, saying BC requires adjustment bins. But in another BC from the user, BC allows such lines to be created without the existence of an adjustment bin.
