I have a problem regarding the Synchronous workflows usage in CRM 2013...when the number of synchronous of workflows reaches 8 workflows on a specific entities we got an error message "This workflow job was canceled because the workflow that started it included an infinite loop. Correct the workflow logic and try again. For information about workflow logic, see Help."

    hi, try this.

    if(context.Depth ==1){

    //write your code

    }

    else

    {

    return;

    }

    have any of your workflows got a loop or are you just running lots of workflows on a single entity.

    If you run the same workflow 8 times in one hour it will stop it and throw an error message because it thinks the workflow is stuck in a loop.

    the questions are

    how many workflows do you have running on a single record

    is it the same workflow running multiple times, if so what is triggering this.

    Thanks Saroj for your suggested solution ; however the above solutions works only for main workflows but for child workflows it detects the depth as greater than one,Is there a way we can detect if the workflow context is parent or child
