Zero Balance Service Dispatch Invoice Batch

My client recently upgraded to SL2015CU1. In Service Dispatch, they sometimes create invoices which have a zero value in order to track costs (materials, but mostly labor) on their customer jobs. In SL2011, these invoices would process through cleanly. Now, however, they receive System Message 6909, "Another process has already updated the batch item. The program must be terminated." Other invoices with dollar values process fine, so I'm confident it's related to the fact there is no value on the invoices.

Has anyone else run into this? Or have a suggestion on how to resolve it? I've already looked at the reported issues/hot fixes and find nothing there for SD.
