Microsoft Flow: Is it possible to filter D365 Update flow?

Posted on by 325

Hi All,

Is it possible to filter dirty fields when using D365 CE "When a record is updated?" flow trigger? I wanted to run or trigger the flow when only the Status field is updated.

Thanks!

    Thank you.

It's a nice workaround but our lead won't allow it. Thanks for your suggestion.

    Hi PDCM,

Currently, OOB Microsoft Flow doesn’t provide any indication on which field triggered the Flow (If MS Flow is for Update.)

But, maybe as a workaround, what we can do is, we can have an OOB Workflow that triggers on change of Status and sets a custom bool field called “Trigger Flow?” to Yes and in your MS Flow, you should check whether the field is set to True and then you can proceed ahead with your required actions. Once, you are done performing the required Actions set the “Trigger Flow?” field to No from within the Flow.

This approach is not the ideal approach, but it can help you do what is needed.

    Thanks!
