CRM 2011 Database Structure - Different from 4.0?

Hello,

Does anyone know if the database structure has changed much between 4.0 to 2011?
Simply put, I have a few select statements for exporting data from 4.0 to a website. I need to publish these however we're also upgrading CRM to 2011 in 3 weeks.

Am I wasting time as I'll need to rewrite everything, or are they pretty much the same?

Tables concerned are:
dbo.ContactBase,
dbo.ContactExtensionBase,
dbo.ContactAddressBase,
dbo.CustomerAddressBase,
dbo.AccountBase,
dbo.AccountExtensionBase
StringMap and MetadataSchema.Entity

Thanks in advanced for you input.

Cheers,
Rohan.

Most of the tables in 2011 gain a few fields to acommodate new functionality while still maintaining the field names from 4.0 to minimize the chance to something breaking after the upgrade. The Stringmap table in 4.0 becomes StringMapBase in 2011. So you should be pretty safe.
