Specify new connection role as default option for Sales Team

I have created new connection roles for the Sales Team Category that match our business better.  I would like to set one of them as a default, instead of Sales Professional being the default.  Is there a way to do this?

    Hi,

Could you please share some more details? What is Sales Team Category? Are you referring to Sales Team subgrid?

If you could share a screenshot.

In the Sales Team Subgrid, which we have renamed Legal Team, I have updated the connection roles to match our needs.  However, when I try to move the Sales Professional option to a different category, the field stops working.  I was thinking that it could because that is the default option; however, I can't find where that option is set at.

I was able to move the other Connection roles to the "Other" Connection Role category without any issue.

Okay. I am also able to reproduce the same issue.  There are few things which is hardcoded/ as design with respect to this sales team functionality-

    1. When you click on the '+' on the Sales Team and selects the user, it creates the connection of the selected user but it auto populate 'Sales Professional' as the Role (which you can then change to something else)

    2. You could change the Category of 'Sales Professional' role from 'Sales Team' to 'Others' however if you do so then the record will be created but will not visible on the subgrid. This is because the view selected in the sales team is "All Sales Team Member" which has a filter to show only roles where category is 'Sales Team'.

As this is system view and you cannot change this to remove the filter or change it but you can in the subgrid use a diferent view say 'Active Connection' or create you own new view.

PS: You could also change the name from Sales Professional to something which you are using instead of moving it to other category. This would avoid all the above mentioned changes

    Hope this helps.

Thank you.  What you have shown is how we have it set up.  I read somewhere that it wasn't recommended to rename the categories; it was better to move them into other categories.  If there shouldn't be any repercussions, I will just rename it; that should be the easiest method.  Thank you for your assistance.
