I have the following setup for the Item FG TEST1

The item Has On Hand of 10000 on the STS-Main Location

The item has the 2 SKU

Forecast Demand for the Item Vs locations Lyons and Jasper

The planning Worksheet generated the Output according to the Demand and did not consider the On Hand in the STS-MAIN location

My Question: How can i make the Planning Consider the Inventory On hand ?

    Hi,
As per your setup, you Don'nt have Demand for your STS-Main Location. So system not generating planning lines. Edit your demand forecast for STS-Main location and fill Qty more than you have in your inventory.

Can see below Same Test case scenario with correct output:
Item MAIN having 1000 Qty on Red Location.
Having 2 SKU  Blue & Green.
As you can see in planning worksheet output system deducting the -1000 Qty on Red Location and suggesting 14000 Qty (As demand forecast have 15k).

If I am reading your question correctly, you want to know how to get the system to supply Jasper and Lyons Locations from the SPS-Main Inventory?

You would need to adjust the Replenishment System on your SKUs for Jasper and Lyons.  Currently, they are set for Purchase and Prod. Order, which is why you are getting those suggestions.  When you want to supply from another Location, you would use a Replenishment System of "Transfer".  This will require you first setup a Transfer Route from STS-Main to Jasper and another from SPS-Main to Lyons.

Once the SKUs are adjusted the worksheet will give you the suggestion to create Transfer Orders to supply those Locations from SPS-Main.  This will cause demand at your SPS-Main Location, so I strongly encourage you setup a SKU for that Location as well as define the appropriate Replenishment System for how the Item is supplied.

As you get further in your testing of the MRP capabilities, I would encourage you to reach out to your BC partner for assistance.  The MRP works very well, but it is data dependent.  Little things such as a missing SKU, incorrect Replenishment System, or improper Planning parameters can all throw off the results.
