Dynamic AX 2012 Product Configurator

Hi,

I'm a bit confused over the Product Configurator, we have a complex product with 8 or more top components which each can have a lot of Sub components.

When I'm building up the Product Configurator Model with Components and Subcomponents, the Tree became quite big, and when each Subcomponent needs a decision it will be lot's of pages to click trough.

Is there a way to group all Subcomponents under a Component to just get one page instead of 10 or more?

You may create a new Component to be the root and set up all the attributes on it.

After that you may use Attribute constraints to set the same attribute value for the parent and for the subcomponent attribute.

The user sets the values only for the parent component , all the other are set up by the constraints.
