Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I would like to periodically extract the journals, without interrupting any process,  so I can view them with another application? how can I achieve this?

Thanks

Journals are stored in the database in XML format. This can be extracted by using QSRules but I don't know of an easy way to display the journal.

With enough programming time this would be possible but hardly pay for itself in most situations.

Go into SO/HQ Admin | File | Connect | Query | New | select the table you want | select the green sideways triangle | File | Export | give it a name and what folder you want to store it in.
