Does anyone have a structured document or a few lines that are a compelling reason for why Active directory is a requirement for Dynamics GP?
One of our new GP clients is a full MAC shop with no exposure to the Windows Server world. They will be using GP webservices to integrate with 3rd Party software otherwise it is a pretty much vanilla implementation for now. We are having them setup a 2 server solution with a SQL server and a Terminal Server.
They may opt for Business Portal in the future.

Abbas

You can download the system requirements for each - here is the link the Management Reporter
I know that. My client is looking for documented proof of this.
Not only MR, also webservices, eConnect and Business Portal requires AD, this how it works!
AD is not required for GP itself.
However, users can only log into Management Reporter using an AD user account.
