I have two sales order that have the same items on them to 100% the same customer released at the same time. i have consolidate shipments turned on but whe nthe work is created i get to pick lines for each item as shown here. what have i got wrong, as i want to get the same items e.g. 0100559 shown here to be on one line for the picker to pick qty 10 items, not 2 lines for the picker to pick 5 in each line?

that helps as i had done that already and yes on the mobile device it presents  the work consolidated by location. i was really checking out there if there was a way to consolidated on the work lines, but i can tell reading these responses it is pick line groupling only. thanks Alice.

Could it be something to do with standard order sizes? Looks like it breaks the picks on 5, so there might be a parameter set that tells the system to split this. Is it just for the one item?

    Hi,

When you create two sales order(s) (lines) for the same item, it's not possible to consolidate these to one work line as per standard d365.

However, to still allow multiple work lines that have the same item and location to be combined into a single pick you might want to have a look at the pick line grouping functionality [https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/supply-chain/warehousing/pick-line-grouping]. This allows for warehouse workers to be given the most efficient instructions possible, while still maintaining required work line separation within the system.

    Thanks,

    Alice
