Service Based Architecture - Creating Batches

Does anyone know if it's possible to create a batch using SBA?  I'm looking to create a batch and then multiple receivable transactions (sales/invoices) within the batch, all via SBA.

    I think, you can use eConnect or Web services references to create the transactions in GP.
