Issues with SDK2016 / 2015 Plugin Registration Tool

Posted on by 1,695

I have been using the plugin registration tool quite happily for ages, however when trying to use it today I am getting the error below. Looking through the net, I have tried several 'suggestions' but to no effect.

I have updated the CRM server with all the latest patches as well as my own machine. I have tried using the plugin tool from the 2015SDK but get the same result

has anyone else experienced this or have any suggestions?

    Hi,

This is a development CRM  so only the one org - on premises.  Nadeeja suggestion has worked a treat

Does this happen when connecting to other orgs - or is it just one? Are you trying to connect to a Dynamics 365 instance - if so, make sure you're using the most recent SDK version of the plugin registration tool.

    Hi PeteN,

Try deleting the contents of the below folder.  C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\PluginRegistration
