Project Item Journal Cost price not getting updated

If i update an line through Excel add-in then the cost price of item is not getting updated whereas if the line is manually updated then its updating as expected.

Is this a bug needs to be reported to MS or am i missing some setup?

In the below screenshot, I added first 2 lines manually but published the 3rd line from excel add-in where cost price is empty

Please first check the steps for updating data using Excel add-in according to this document. View and update entity data with Excel - Finance & Operations | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn

Hi, @Hana Xue

Thank you for your reply. I don't think I am missing any setups; I uploaded the transfer orders where it got updated the cost price correctly but the same is not happening for "Project Item journals"

Hi,
I found similar issues when searching in LCS known issues. It mentioned: Project item journal does not populate the sales price via Open in Excel. You can take a look at: Details of the issue 792457 (dynamics.com) Hope this will be helpful.

HI,

Thank you for sharing the related issue. But, if we observe that is the cost price not sales price in the Inventory item journal after the posting it becomes the Selling price for the organization. I was just expecting the cost price to get updated after publishing the item numbers. But anyways, if MS has decided to not provide the option to auto-populate the price.
