Hi!

I have a Business Central On Premises 2020 Wave 2 (v.17.3) and I have activated API Services.

When I Get Data in Power BI and I select "Dynamics 365 Business Central (OnPremises) and I write the URL

Late I write my user credentials

And when I confirm it only shows a tree with URL, companies and  old web services from Odaata, it not show entities for API Standard or Customize like I had saw in official documentation.

Everything seems well configured because in the browser I can see the entities

Can anybody help me?

Thanks!

Hi, This looks like the API is not enabled in BC Administration.

Although not using Power Bi, I hope the link below will give you some inspiration.

The Business Central connector in Power BI Desktop does not support API's for BC On Prem, only in BC Saas.

Even if you enable api's on prem, the BC connector in PBI will not find them. Instead you can create odata webservices and use those.

    Hi Steven!

I had thought that it could be that but I did not find any information about it

Is there any technical documentation where I can see this?

    Thanks!

    Best Regards Mape

Steven Renders - now, almost a year later, have you hear of any plans from MS to add API compatibility to the BC On-prem connector? Not a big deal I guess, since we can use the OData connector instead, so maybe it will never happen. But thanks for your input on here. I can stop trying to get the BC Connector to work now

No, I did not hear anything about this...

You can post an idea: http://aka.ms/bcideas
