Greetings all,

Does anyone know the stack / memory limits for running external dll's in D365 (10.16)?

We have an external dll that has some recursion calls for item purchasing  and linear optimization.

The dll gives us the ability to set the maximum number of results. If we throttle it down, it will complete but may not be as accurate.

We use the dll in AX 2012 R2 without issue .

Thanks!

Mark

I don't think that there is anything special in D365FO. The stack, the heap, memory allocation, garbage collection and so on are handled by the Common Language Runtime (CLR).

The default stack size is 4 MB for 64-bit applications, I believe. It should be enough if you put large data to the heap and merely refer to them from the stack.

    Thank you Martin!
