RE: GP error after running utilities

How new are the databases?  Is this a new installation? A test migration?  What is the status of the data?

Unfortunately I have to agree with Richard on this one - you have no choice but to move the data.

If this is a new installation and you are just in the process of building the system for the first time - I would suggest that you consider either of (1) completely new installation of SQL with the correct collation or (2) create a new instance on the same SQL Server installation and make sure it is the correct collation.

    Hope this helps.

These are the two sql collation sequences that are supported by GP.

    SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS

    Latin1_General_BIN

If your GP databases are indeed using the Latin1_General_CI_AS collation sequence you are going to need to convert these databases to one of the two listed. I have always used the bulk-copy method but there are other ways. Essentially you have to export out the entire database to text file, create a new database with the correct collation sequence and then import the data back in.
