Problem #1: I had done a transfer of fixed assets from one entity to another entity in our fixed asset module and ran the GL posting routine. We already made a manual journal entry in our ledger, so I am only wanting to make my subledger agree. Since my general ledger is already balanced, can I cancel the fixed asset GL posting routine batch, or will I need to post the GL posting routine batch and then delete the FATRX batch from the GL? if I have to post the FATRX batch in the GL posting routine, I have an issue with the Land asset. It is only 1 asset that once i ran the Routine GL posting, it was missing an account for a value of $0 . . . .i tried to enter an account but it does not save and i could not post the GL posting routine anyway.
Problem # 2: for the second entity transfer, I used the Mass transfer. I failed to reset the asset group i used to select multiple assets, so I pulled up my smartlist and went into each asset that transferred with the wrong account and fixed it in the Fixed asset general card. Then I ran a smartlist with the fixed asset account number and Reserve account number to double check them and all looks fine now. So when I go to run the GL posting routine, will it show the corrected accounts?
the gl posting routine would not let me run the second entity transfer because the first transfer batch is pending - i got an error message that basically said that by proceeding it will unmark the batch if you say yes, or no and will not proceed- something to that effect, so again, can i delete the GL posting routine and my subleger be fine or will i have to post it and delete it from my general ledger.
