CRM 2011/2016 Printing Issue After Installing Windows 7/10 Update KB4022715/KB4022725/KB4022719

After installing KB4022715 (Win10 1607) or KB4022725 (Win10 1703) or KB4022719 (Win7) (released by Microsoft on 6/13/17), which brings Internet Explorer to 11.0.043, CRM 2011 and Dynamics 365 (2016) users receive a "404- File or directory not found" when attempting to PRINT a Record (Contact, Report, etc.) to a physical printer or to a PDF.  The Print Preview window DOES properly show what will be printed – but the physical printout or PDF will show “404 – File or directory not found.”

Uninstalling the Updates listed above, which rolls Internet Explorer back to the previously installed version, immediately resolves the issue.

This is not a good solution as the above mentioned Updates contain fixes for many other things – beyond just updating Internet Explorer.

I'm having the exact same issue, customer stated a Microsoft update had occurred on 14/06 and then today (15/06) they are unable to pages using the 'File > Print' in IE from CRM without it spitting a 404 error out.

Thanks for the advice on uninstalling the Microsoft updates, not ideal but a workaround for now.

A workaround until a fix is provided is to use the Google Chrome browser though it may be incompatible for a lot of other functionality.

Most of our Dynamics 365 ("2016") Customers do use Chrome 100% of the time. But our CRM 2011 Customers, which is a much larger user-base at this time, must use Internet Explorer as our Product, that we build on top of CRM, is not cross-browser compatible.

Hi All -- I've worked with Microsoft's CRM and Internet Explorer Support Teams. This is now a reported and known issue that Microsoft is addressing w/ the Internet Explorer team. There is no ETA on the fix, however.
