Cannot edit item information

Hi

I cannot edit several fields from the Released products form. I guess it has something to do with related tables, since the problem is ocurring when I try to create a new item as a user. Fields as BOM unit, Batch number group are some of these fields, although there are many others.

Any advice on this matter?

    Hello fgil12

Principally you create new products in the "products" form as sort of a master template for all companies.

Then you release the product for a specific company by finishing with the company specific information.

    Hi Hans

Yes, indeed, that is the correct procedure to create a new item. Thing is, we cannot edit certain fields after doing so, which we don't understand why =S

    Hi

Yes and I assumed that you were trying to modify some fields in the released products which are defined in the product (the template).

If not, please provide additional information.

We found out users were not selecting an Item model group, therefore edition was not allowed for the items. Now we need to know how to edit the Shelf life field on the Released product form...

    Hi,

The Shelf life is related to the process industry features. At least it should be an batched item. Have a look at this page for additional help: technet.microsoft.com/.../jj838734.aspx

    Thanks André

After adding the Item model group and the correct Tracking dimension group to the item the fields were enabled for edition and the problem was solved.
