Inventory Count Result Entry

We are using GP2013 and will be completing a 100% physical inventory count.

Although we have not used the Inventory Schedule and Inventory Count functionality, I have familiarized myself with them through the Help files, printed user manuals, online, and etc.

We will be performing the actual count through barcode scanning of the item, its count, its location and bin into an Access DB. The db will then compare the actual item counts to the item qtys exported from GP after we lock the system down.

I am trying to determine my options for entering the actual counts or computed variances into GP.  This undoubtedly will include having new qtys at new Item-Site-Bins.

What options may be available to me?

Thank you in advance

    Hi Duffy,

I understand, IM and eConnect are not too difficult to use so we may be able to help you with it if you would like. I will send you my contact information separately and feel free to let me know if you need some additional help.

    Regards,

    Adam

Thank you Adam. I have been told we have IM but we have not yet used either tool. Unfortunately have not aligned ourselves with a consulting partner.

    Hi,

If you have the counts into an Access DB and are already comparing the counts automatically to generate the resulting adjustment then why not import that result as adjustment through eConnect or Integration Manager and use those tools to create any missing item/site/bin combinations?

    Hope this helps!

    Adam
