Hi Experts,
There had been a situation with our clients, where constantly different users are facing this locking issue below -
which happens to occur while posting any credit memo, sales invoice.
Any help would be appreciated,

Hi Tanya,
in general locking of tables is needed because at one time only one person can write the transaction into table. This is to prohibit junk data and wrong results.
It seems multiple users are trying to access the "Detailed Cust. Ledg. Entry" table at same time.
Try to Restart the NAV Server and it will resolved the locking issue.
Note: Before Restart of Service please notify all the users to Logoff from NAVISION.
If this issue occur frequently then try to find the pattern like at which event this issue is occurring, so that the issue can be resolved permanently.

I see you are on NAV 2013. The Locking issues within NAV were addressed and Microsoft rewrote the code in future releases. I would follow what Naveen wrote to restart the Server but I would highly recommend upgrading or evaluating the Postings the Users are completing and see if these posting can be completed in a Job Queue in overnight processing.
