Schedule Resources Without a Resource Requirement

Is there a way to enable the schedule board to schedule multiple resources at a time without having to create a resource requirement?

Example: I need to schedule the use of one piece of equipment for an hour, associate a contact, a user and account to the same booking similar to how you may book a meeting to multiple people and conference room in Outlook.  Each booking would be ad hoc and not a static resource group of resources.  How do I schedule multiple resources to one booking and how do I do this avoiding needing a resource requirement?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Partner,

As far as I know, User needs to create a Resource requirement. Without resource requirement Scheduling cannot be enabled.

You can refer this article: docs.microsoft.com/.../schedule-anything-with-universal-resource-scheduling

    Hi jjandrey,

Resource Requirement is must while scheduling the resources on schedule board.

However, looking at your example, I would like to suggest the option of  Multi-resource scheduling with requirement groups. You can find the details in the following link:  https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/field-service/multi-resource-scheduling-requirement-groups

But here also, adding requirement is must.

    Thanks!

Thanks Roohi, this gets me closer.  When using a Requirement Group, the scheduler wants to book all the items for the same time.  Let me give you a different scenario.

An athlete is heading to a fitness facility that allows scheduling of equipment, trainers, coaches, etc.  I need to schedule a Treadmill for 30 minutes, a weight bench for 60 minutes and a trainer to assist for the first 30 minutes of the time the weight bench is reserved weight bench.

    Weight Bench (facility/equipment) 8:00 - 9:00

    Trainer (a contact) 8:00 - 8:30

    Treadmill (facility/equipment) 9:00 - 9:30

When I add these items to a Requirement Group, it reserves everything from 8:00 - 9:30 when I need each individual piece of equipment/trainer to be scheduled for different time slots.  Is there a way to use a Requirement Group and still be able to split out each item to its own individual time slot?

    Hi jjandrey,

Glad to know that the suggestion helped. I have gone through your scenario and verified the same on schedule board.

And yes, currently there is no way to use a Requirement Group and split out each item to its own individual time slot. In your scenario as all the items - Weight Bench, Trainer, Treadmill are part of one Requirement group the overall duration of Requirement Group is applicable.

    Thanks!
