In Item for manufacturing Routing there are 3 available costing fields namely: Direct Cost, Indirect Cost and Overhead Cost.

Like to know how can a manufacturing environment overcome when you have and need to 4th costing or sometime even more fields due to process complexity and needing to have more detail costing analysis.

An example will be when we have 2 or more Direct Cost which we wanted to separtely them distinctly like Machine Cost and Labour Cost under the Direct Cost field.

I have the same question (0)

The answer is work centers attached to the routings which are attached to the items. Routings can have multiple work centers. Work Centers have Direct Cost, Indirect Cost and Overhead also. So one routing work center for machines (or even multiple work centers for multiple machines) and work center(s) for Labor.
