Hi All,

Trust all are doing well...

Can anyone please suggest, how to change the POS version? While opening the Retail MPos it is showing the below warning message.

Message:  The version you are currently using does not support one or more features that are required to run this application. Use desktop shortcut to update the application and then try again.

    Hi Pankaj_93,

Have you already read the following docs?

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/commerce/retail-modern-pos-device-activation#update-the-modern-pos-application

    I hope it helps you.

    Thanks, Tad

    Not sure what you mean.

When we upgrade D365 platform.  MPOS will version will be upgraded too.  You need to download new package from device form.    Remove older MPOS and reinstall new version.

    Hi AeyPKA,

    Thank you for your response...

After removeing the older MPOS and reinstall new version, it is working.

While I am deploying the pos customization from the Visual Studio and trying to debug in that time it again showing to upgrade the pos. Is there configuration in MPOS solution to change the version?

Make sure you that your RetailSDK is same version as D365 HQ.  Check version from RetailSDK\Microsoft-version.txt

    • Core version will be from RetailSDK\Microsoft-version.txt
    • Custom version will be in RetailSDK\BuildTools\Customization.settings

    Details of Customization.settings in: -

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/commerce/dev-itpro/retail-sdk/retail-sdk-packaging#:~:text=SDK%5CAssets%20folder.-,Retail%20SDK%20build%20tools%20%E2%80%93%20Customization%20settings,versioned%2C%20and%20code%2Dsigned.

    Hi AeyPKA,

I have changed the version in the customization.settings file. Still it is not working.

    Hi,

What kind of screen will you get when you debug? Paste the capture.

And also, you may be created a support ticket and ask MS support to investigate about this issue.
