With all the mail fraud going on right now I am looking for ways to securely send payments via mail. One option is to use a closed window envelope with just a mailing label on it. However, I print over 100 checks at a time and manually entering the vendor's address on a label for each check sounds very tiresome. Is it possible to set up a label printer when printing checks that also prints addresses from my payment batch? Any ideas on this subject will be greatly appreciated!!
How to print mailing labels when printing checks for payment mailings
Hi, Standard printing capabilities typically do not include the option to print the vendor's address directly on the label. You can try to customize it. You can check out this link that explains how to create and use custom labels that allow users to print labels for any type of data you set for them. For example, you can print product labels, location labels, customer labels, and more. Custom label layouts and printing - Supply Chain Management | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn Best Regards, Hana
How to print mailing labels when printing checks for payment mailings
Hi,
Here are the general steps you can follow:
Configure Address Formats:
Ensure that your vendor records in Dynamics 365 F&O have accurate and complete address information. This includes the street address, city, state, postal code, and any other relevant details.
Configure Check Layouts:
Check layouts in Dynamics 365 F&O are usually defined in the system. Work with your system administrator or IT department to customize the check layout to include the vendor's address information.
Use a Label Printer:
If you have a label printer, you can configure it in the system. Check the printer settings to ensure it's set up to print labels. Label printers typically have their own settings that might need configuration within the Dynamics 365 F&O environment.
Batch Processing:
When you are ready to print checks, ensure that you are using batch processing. The system may allow you to select a batch of payments, and during the printing process, it should include the vendor's address information on the labels.
Best regards,
Kevin
