Buttons on Customized screen

(0) ShareShare

Posted on by 900

On the Sales Order screen, we have some added buttons which are disabled when the form loads. The issue is that they don't show up (as if they are hidden). The only way I can see the button is to go into Customization Mode and change the Top/Left value (for example by 1). The buttons are on a Tab control. The screen was upgraded from 6.5 to 7. Any thoughts?

Thanks.

    Q

    As I understand it...

    The "creatred = true" line tells the kernel that it is this customization which creates the control.

    In other words, in this case, it has to create the button, using the properties specified.

    If that line is absent, the kernel looks for an existing control, and applies the various properties to it.

    I looked at the CST file, it turned out to be a property called Create see below. Not sure what it is but the buttons now showup

    Begin SAFTools.SAFButton cmdbogus11

    '' Created         =   True

    '' Version         =   6

      customtabpagenumber=   1

      height          =   21

      left            =   111

    '' parent          =   "SSTab1"

    '' parentform      =   "Form1"

      tabindex        =   126

      top             =   300.000000

      visible         =   TRUE

      width           =   73

    End

    Q

    Export the customization to a .cst file.

    Then use NotePad to have a look at that file.

    Find the entries for your buttons, and look at a couple of propertirs - called something like Parent & ParentForm.

    Are they set correctly?
