Microsoft Flow: set field in from related entity

Hi there

I'm new to using MS Flow in Dynamics - so this is one of my first Flow attempts.

I have a custom optionset field on the Product entity in Dynamics 365 CE called Charge Type that references a global optionset with the same name.

I've created a custom optionset field on the Order Line entity that references this global optionset.

My requirement:

I want to automatically set the Charge Type field on the Order Line record based on the charge type of the Existing Product field selected on the Order Line.

As I can't update the Order Line record using the standard Workflow functionality (unless I create a custom activity step, which I want to avoid), I'm now trying to do this using Microsoft Flow.

Below is a screenshot of my Flow config so far.

I'm stuck on how to use the Expression mechanism of Flow to populate the Charge Type on the Order Line from the Charge Type on the Product record that's populated on the Existing Product field.

Can anyone help with this please?

Thanks in advance.

To get the Product record you will need to use the 'Get Record' action by using the Product value on the Order Line. Then once you have the Product record you can get the Charge Type. and apply it to the order line.

One thing I will recommend is not use the Dynamics connectors and using the Common Data Service connectors instead. They are more flexible and will go through Dev - Test - Prod a lot easier as it automatically takes the organisation you are in.
