Error encountered when 'generate accounting' on the documents pending accounting screen

I have a posted free text invoice that is in an 'in process' accounting status. When I go to the Documents pending account screen to try to 'generate accounting', I am receiving the following error message: Error encountered while processing documents for journalization processDocument number: REF000819 Posting has been canceled.
I am not sure what to check for fix for this error.

    You can view the error log. Review the Accounting Status for details of any error messages that indicate errors exist for the document.
