Bank Transaction Entry

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

The Type selection box has Check, Withdrawal, Increase, and Decrease as selections in that order.  we never use Check and would like to remove it as an option, or demote it to the bottom of the list.  does anyone know how to do this?

    Hi,

You can do this with VBA if you're not using the Web Client. Use Modifier to create a Local drop down list field and put the three choices you want on it. Keep the original on the window until you're done coding; you will eventually move the original off of the screen. Write your VBA code to set the value of the real field based on the value in the local field.

I just did this and it took about 30 minutes.  I set both starting values at withdrawal.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

I would do the same as Olly suggests. Your GP partner should be able to modify this window fairly easily if this is the only customization that needs to be done. You may want to visit with your team to see if there are other like scenarios to address at the same time.

It would require development work to achieve that - probably to create an Alternate version of that Window.
