Hello,
In our business, we have only a select few that are able to create contacts to minimize duplication and invalid contacts. I would like to automate when I add a contact, it would be added to a subscription list. We have enabled double opt-in, so essentially they would get an email when they are added. I am running into a challenge when I create the contact because you have to use the subscription form or landing page to kick start the double opt-in process. I have tried to use Power Automate but cannot fill in the subscription form.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks!
Thank you. How would I create two scenarios then?
1. A person that does not have any information in Dynamics sign up for a newsletter.
2. Set up ability to have user sign up (by landing page) to trigger the double opt-in email.
Thanks!
Great, thanks for confirming.
Unfortunately, this is not something we support as of today. D365 Marketing requires the user's submission to trigger the double opt-in e-mail, so adding the user to the mailing list is not sufficient. For subscription center, D365 Marketing needs the contact information to be recorded either in a cookie or using subscription center link from the content settings.
Thanks,
Dynamics 365 Marketing Team.
Hi Habib,
Thank you for responding. Do you happen to have any solution for this problem?
Thanks!
Yes, Essentially the way our business works, we get contacts and add them to D365. I would like to have it automatically send them an email as part of the double opt-in for our monthly newsletter.
Hi,
Thanks for submitting your question. Is my understanding correct that you're trying to automatically create a contact and at the same time, add the contact to a subscription list?
Thanks,
Dynamics 365 Marketing Team.
