I need to create a segmentation who cointain contacts to whom, every time a related opportunity is set to a specific value (for example A), a marketing email is sent to them from a customer journey
In the first time, I created a segmentation and set the condition (the value A for the opportunity related to the contact) to define the query,
Then, I create the Marketing email
Then I create the Customer Journey where I related Segmentation and Marketing email, and set the CJ iterative every day
Because I don't want that the same meassage email is sent every day to the contact for which the related opportunity value is A, I add to the same segmentation an exclusion condition, do not include in the segmetation the contacts who received that Marketing message yet.
But I noticed it doesn't work!!
Infact, when the first opportunity assumed the value A, the Marketing email start OK and is sent to the contact who received it.
Because He receive the Message email yet, he is excluded from the Segmentation.
Then, when the second opportunity created takes the value A, the Marketing email doesn't send to the contact.
I have two kind of problems,
1-Set the segmentation that doesn't exclude the contacts who received the email yet
2-Into the Marketing email, link the specific information about the single opportunity
Hi Elena,
I try to explain better the problem.
Inside the Segmentation entity I built a query on Opportunity entity, relatet to Contact entity through parentcontactid field
Inside my opportunity entity is there a custom field (named Status document) and when the status document value change, a Business process Flow change the Stage.
At this point a Customer Journey send a specific Marketing Email as Notify to the contact. (I precise: the Customer don't want use Sales App workflow to send this kind of business email but want to use Marketing email.)
I set the Customer Journey as recursive every day to check contact that have opportunity with the specific Status Document value, but I don't want that the same marketing email related to that status document, will be send every day to the same contact. (only one time! the first day)
Than I add an exclusive condition to the segmentation that, if the Message email has been delivered to the recipient mailbox yet, the contact have to be excluded from the segmentation (and from the customer journey recursive of the nexting day)
The query would be ok if the customer had ONLY ONE Opportunity related to him in its life!
In fact, when I create a new opportunity for the same contact, and the Status Document field is set from the System to the initial value, the customer journey isn't activated, because he has been excluded from the exclusive condition setting (HE HAVE ALREADY RECEIVED A EMAIL MESSAGE FOR THAT STATUS DOCUMENT FROM THE PREVIOUS OPPORTUNITY THAN IS EXCLUDED FROM THE QUERY).
I need to create a query tha permitted to send a recursive Marketing email for the same Staus Document for different opportunities related to the same Contact:
For example I describe the situation AT THE MOMENT for a Contact (Mr X)
Opportunity 1 created -> Status Document A -> MARKETING EMAIL for Status Document A (OK it's Running well)
Opportunity 1 pass to the next BPF Stage -> Status Document B -> MARKETING EMAIL for Status Document B (OK it's Running well)
........etc etc
Opportunity 2 created -> Status Document A-> MARKETING EMAIL for Status Document A ((NOT START BECAUSE THE CONTACT HAD RECEIVED THIS KIND OF MESSAGE EMAIL FOR OPPORTUNITY 1 YET AND HAVE BEEN EXCLUDED FROM THE EXCLUSIVE CONDITION)
Hi Luca-V6,
can you please post here the details of your segment (eg query view + natural view) for problem #1, as well as additional info on #2?
Br
Elena
