Management reporter 2012 CU16 configuration error, Master password could not be validated against the password policy

Hi All,

We have Management Reporter 2012 CU16 installed on our SQL server and we are trying to configure the MR services on Availability listner name and we are getting "Master password could not be validated against the password policy" error. We were able configure MR with host name of the servers. But we need it to be created on Listner name as we need the MR databases to be highly available.

Please help us to get rid of the error and configure MR.

    Thinking out loud:

    Make sure that SQL Server is running by a domain user.

    It could be also that the encryption password for MR is not strong enough.

    Hi Hichem,

    Thank you for replying,

         We are using domain account for SQL server and other components.

    -> It could be also that the encryption password for MR is not strong enough.

          We are providing strong password with the combination of numbers, special characters, upper and lower              case letters, but we were able to configure MR and create integration when we use host name while                      configuring MR and error comes out when we use listner name for configuration.
