Rejected quantity after processing Quality order remain in wrong location

when I have an item sample of 10%. I get two types of work. With a PO line quantity of 100, I get normal put away work for 90, and I get quality item sampling work for 10. If I have a “pass,” no problem. But if I have a rejection, those 90 are in the wrong location! I have to get those 90 out of the regular location to the rejection location.

I am using quality process enabled for warehouse management.

I am using following work type: Quality order sampling work and Quality order work.

Any work around for this?

I have the same question (0)

    Hello Sagar,

This is the way it works, because only the sampled items were directed to a testing location, they are the only items that are then directed to the rejection location.  After quality order, the work  for the quantity on the quality order.

An obvious work around would be to change sampling to 100% (which would move the items in block to the testing location and to the rejection).  The as obvious disadvantage is that you have to manipulate the items at least twice, whether it is a fail or a pass

If you work with batches, the you can work with Batch Disposition Codes to make sure that thebatch that fail QO will not be picked or shipped.

An issue I see if that when the purchased items are put-away in their final locations, it is difficult to differentiate them from items that might have been received on other POs.  With a Work Template, you can interrupt the put-away work and store in an intermediate location until the QO results are known. Here is a sample Work Template that <freeze> the work in a Dock-Audit location.  The work has to be unblocked (presumably by a quality inspector) to allow work to be resumed. This is just an idea which may work for you.

Hi Danny, Thanks for reply. I tried mentioned setup. But Purchase order doesn't allow me to setup directive code to final 'Put' Location which is why my final location is coming as empty.

Moreover, i am not able to 'Freeze' the work as well.
