E-Connect Journal Entry - Not Importing Batch Total

I was wondering if anyone has seen this or knows why this might happen.

We are using e-connect to import some journal entries.  When verifying that the batch was created, we are noticing that the batch entry screen shows the proper number of transactions but a 0.00 for batch total.  I expect to see the absolute value of all the transaction in there.

Running reconcile on financial batches works to get this total updated. 

We sometimes will use the control balances here, so I would like this to just work without going into reconcile every time.

Has anyone else seen this?  Is this an e-connect bug?

    Now that I am doing a little more testing, I feel like it might be our 3rd party software.  We are actually testing out SmartConnect and I am pushing in Journal Entries (among other types of transacitons).  SmartConnect is essentially an integration tool that uses all of GP's e-connect Stored Procedures.  It's like using Integration Manager on steroids.

    However, when I push the same transactions through using Integration Manager with the E-Connect Adapters, it is coming through properly (batch total is updated).  I would say that the likey cause has something to do with SmartConnect.  The only thing is that SmartConnect simply uses e-connect to integrate to GP.

    Do you happen to know at what point or what part of the e-connect stored procedure the batch ID is updated?  My guess is after it pushes in transactions, there has to be some sort of stored procedure that goes in and updates that total (and it is getting missed somehow.)  I would also guess that this might be the same stored procedure that fires when you run batch reconcile.

          We also using the e-Connect to import journal entries .

    In my side, Batch total is showing correct. JE schema will create the batch in on the fly. But we created the batch using separate schema. Also we are not used control balances.

    We are not faced such issue.Can you describe the exact scenario. It is useful to verify my tool.
