Qualify a lead in D365

Hello Community Experts,

When i try to qualify a lead using the business process flow, it pops up to select opportunity and doesn't allow to progress to the next stage. I may have not understood this correctly, could anybody please guide!

You should quality using "Qualify" button only.

Cannot qualify using BPF stage change. It is not suggested.
