Locating field in GP -Inventory Item

I found that the scorecard column (name in the Smart List) is located in table IV_ITEM_MSTR, field USCATVLS_5 with in the db. I took a look through the GP interface and could not locate this field ..one would think it would be in Inventory. Also, used the tools option to search by field (window, tables..) and was unable to find where the USCATVLS_5 would be displayed in GP. Can anyone provide insight on tracking down a technical name field from SQL to the window and field in GP?

RE: Locating field in GP -Inventory Item

USCATVLS_5 field is "Item Category 5". The label of this field could be changed to anything as you wish in "Inventory Control" found in the path Tools -> Inventory -> Inventory Control.

Now, Smartlist takes the name entered on Inventory Control, so I am guessing category field 5 is changed it to "scorecard". That's why you see that name in Smartlist.

You can locate this field in Cards -> Inventory -> Item Maintenance -> Options.

To answer your second question, you can get all the table resource information from Microsoft Dynamics GP -> Tools -> Resource Descriptions. You may also refer to this blog post: www.boyerassoc.com/.../dynamics-gp-finding-that-table-name
