RSA SHA 256 Encryption

I'm not sure if this is allowed. Please let me know if it is not.

We are Business central Users (
INDIA Business Central 22.2) on-prem Version. We have been trying to integrate Bank APIs with our Business Central application.

We have engaged a business central partner to do this development. The bank requires the data that is sent over the API to be encrypted using RSA SHA 256. The partners are now telling us that the on-prem version does not support this encryption method. I found the below link on the internet which says RSA SHA 256 is supported. I just want to confirm if this is actually the case. I'd be greatful if anyone can help on this.

Thank you. We will explore this solution. However we are not able to find "Codeunit RSACryptoServiceProvider" in the Onprem Business central

Hi, as far as I know this is handled in codeunit 1445 "RSACryptoServiceProvider", you can search for its usage.

Hope this can give you some hints.
    Thanks

Based on the information in the link, it seems that this should be quite easy for the On-prem, and maybe not possible for the SaaS option.

You need to generate a proper certificate for the BC web instance and put it on the server/in the instance  (sorry, haven't done this specific administrations myself).

So that when You open Your Business Central system, in the URL you will see the https:\\....
As I understand the encryption is set in the certificate, and not sure if developers can actually change it to another type. But some other experts who have more knowledge in development or administration can maybe give more detailed answer.
