I am using mscrm online latest version. Global search was working till two days back to show results based on contactid or accountid etc
now when search by contactid or accountid  not getting any results from contact or account entity.
Verified the details in entity & the field are available, but not showing in results. Is any recent changes in MSCRM Online ?
Is any changes to be made at

1. To configure entities included in the categorized search:
Administration -> System Setting -> General Tab -> Select Entities for Categorized Search
2. To configure fields for the configured entity:
Find the quick find view via Customization -> Entities  -> Find the entity (e.g. Account, Contact) -> Views -> In the view list, find the one View Type = Quick Find View
Double click to open the view and click Add Find Columns / Add view Columns

this behavior has changed recently for Dataverse / Dynamics 365 Online.

If you must search by ContactID / AccountID:

    Ensure Categorized Search is enabled:

    • Settings → Administration → System Settings → General tab → “Set up Search Experience” → choose Categorized Search.
    • In Quick Find View → add Contact ID / Account ID as Find Columns.
    • But note: Microsoft is deprecating Categorized Search, so this is temporary.
    • If you want to stay on Dataverse Search (future-proof):
    • You cannot directly search by GUIDs (contactid/accountid).
    • Instead, create a custom searchable field (e.g., “Legacy ID” or “External ID”) and make sure:
    • It is set as searchable in the Dataverse Search Index (field properties).
    • Added to the searchable fields via Table → Settings → Views → Quick Find View → Add Find Columns.
