SSRS Fetch XML Report fails

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi Everyone,
I have a problem running the SSRS Fetch XML reports on CRM 2016 On-prem. The report works when I run it from Visual Studio, but when deployed to CRM org, It fails with the following error (see attached image):

The report cannot be displayed. (rsProcessingAborted)

I am using the Fetch XML data source type.

Does anyone encountered this problem before ?

Thank you.

RE: SSRS Fetch XML Report fails

Can you check if the connection is working fine. ON the report server :

    1. Open Reporting Services Configuration Manager and connect.
    2. Go to Report Manager URL.
    3. Click the URL to open it in a browser.
    4. Select organization and click Details View.
    5. Click the data source. It should be DataSource1 in your case
    6. Click on Test Connection

Let us know if the connection succeed and if not, what is the error.

The other thing you can try is to check MSCRM_CONFIG database to see if the GUID of your organization is same as mention in error log .i.e. 6e86e59c-3896-e611-80f4-005056855463

A simple query like (select Id from Organization where DatabaseName = 'Organizationname_MSCRM' will give you the id.

Hi, there's nothing wrong with the Query, since you are using the Fetch XML for the data, there are issues with your connection string / credentials. Make sure they are accurate, if it doesn't work try replacing the OrgName with disco. Are you trying to deploy the report in the same environment that you have used in the connection string?

It's always a good Idea to use SQL Filtered Views for SSRS Reporting in an On-premise Deployment.

    Hi,

    Thanks for replying.

The error message is : Organization With Id = 6e86e59c-3896-e611-80f4-005056855463 Does Not Exist

Well, the Organization exists and CRM is workin fine.

RE: SSRS Fetch XML Report fails

Most likely permission issues, have you tried running the report from the report manager?

Do you have access to the Server? If so, type= event viewer, in the search, go to windows logs > Application and look out for errors and see the description.

    OR

go to SQL installation folder> for example = SQLServer\MSRS12.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\LogFiles. If the log files are enabled you should be able to see the logs and they are pretty much self explanatory
