Anyone using the month end workspace in D365 F&O to manage month end close? If so, how is the experience compared to that in other softwares or Excel? I am experimenting with using the month end workspace in D365 F&O to manage the month end close process, and finding it extremely inflexible and time consuming to use, especially in the areas of tracking how far individual tasks are to completion and barriers to tasks being completed, compared to using Excel, which I was using before. Trying to determine if it's just a matter of setting up enough custom fields and getting used to the system, or reverting back to Excel, and wondering if others have experienced something similar and if so what they did.

Actually, I use this functionalty for very basic needs.

It is not for project management or so but just designed for month end processes to be managed and user to see clearly where they stand.
