I am using CRM Online.
Under "Account" there are several fields, like account name, relationship type, Phone etc.
One of those fields has a menu, where I can choose an answer.
Like for instance:

I have to choose one of these answers.
where can I change the list of answers? I want to make the list longer.

I believe you are talking about option set. To add more options in option set, you need to modify this option set.
To modify option set, go to setting--> customization --> customize system--> Account (entity) --> fields
and look for your relationship type field and modify options.
After adding more options, save changes and publish account entity.
Go to Settings->Customization-> select account and expand-> click fields->double click to open relationship type field add your list.

That sounds like a custom option set. you would go to your customizations under the Account entity and edit that field. Here are steps for how to do that:
