Business Process Flows

We have several custom business process flows applied to the Opportunity entity.

We can have two concurrent business process flows running at the same time on a single record.

The issue I face is the following:

A user is opening up an opportunity and it is not showing the business process flow to which he has access.

He can switch to the proper process but the next time he opens the record, it goes back to the other process.

How does one control which active business process flow is in place when a user opens the record?

He has no access to the other process flow so why does it keep opening that one?

Thank you,

Will

    Hi,

Hope below article will help to achieve this-

    Thank you for the reply.

I would have thought that the user would have "loaded" into the form only the BPF that they have access to in the security roles.

The article you provided pretty much tells me that a user is not guaranteed to get the BPF that they want when opening a record unless we create a script to run when the form loads.

Sounds like Microsoft did not think it through on the behavior of the BPF within a form.

    In this instance for us:

    - We have two BPFs.

    - User has only access in a security role to one of them.  The other, he has not access to at all within the security role.

Why would it open the one he does not have access to?

I found after researching that the security roles only control which BPF is started when a user creates a new record.

In order to control the active process, I had to create a java script that set the Active script based on the form name.

I set this script to run each time a form is loaded.
